My inheritance

At first glance I got a really good plot. It's about 17.5m long and 5.5m wide, there's a tool box at the far end, when I got the plot it was full of garden tools although the lock had been broken, 'Give it a couple of weeks and if they previous owners haven't claimed them then you can keep them' I was told.
The plot itself had been subdivided by lots of bits of wooden and plastic plank - it was unsightly and I couldn't tell exactly what had been growing where anyway. The best discovery were two great crowns of rhubarb at the top of the plot, also in this bed there were strawberries and raspberry canes.
Pleased with what I saw I went home to get some things and start work. When I got back later that afternoon it seemed the previous owners had been back, they had taken all the tools which seemed fair enough but had also dug up the rhubarb and taken that away leaving two great craters in the ground.

My wait is over...

Here's my allotment! You have to be patient to get a London allotment, I've been on the waiting list since May 2006 and was stunned when I finally got the call asking me if I wanted to take a look at a free plot at the beginning of February this year. I cycled down to Fulham Palace Meadows all ready to pay my annual rent - not so fast I was told 'don't you want to inspect the plot first, you might not want it...'
As you can see it wasn't in bad shape so I paid my £25 and then started to make plans about what I should do.
